Peach seed trial- Failed

Yes. In the shop, there are many delicious peaches with seeds. However, those may not guarantee the seed's originality. 

After I got the seeds from the Redstar Peach, which is guaranteed to grow in Toronto weather, I want to try it out. 

I followed the 2 webpages below. 

I just tried out without vernalization. 

1. Using a nipper to break out the outer shell of the seeds.
2. Soak in the water more than 6hr of the inner seed to take out the brown skin of the seed.
3. Using a toothpick, peel off the brown cover of the seed.
4. Tried to sterilize with Hydrogen Peroxide, but when i heard the bubbling sound from the side of the seed, i washed it out quickly. 
5. Put the seed in the middle of the cotton pad, dampened with water, when I put it in the small zip-lock bag.
6. Placed 3 packs of each under the Aerogarden light.
7. Wait

 

Some days in October 2025, Mostly molded up, some got small sprout but all were gone bad. Failed.
